So, although, sadly i am still blogging from the wrong side of the camera due to my running injury i still went along to support my friends at the start of the Penny Pinchers Kurland Summer Trail Run on Sunday morning.

Having run it before i know it is tough and muddy and involves lots of climbing up and sliding down cliff type mountains hanging onto which ever tree branch is within your reach.  I also know that the scenery and views are magnificent and worth every minute of being out there.

Thank you Janet for these beautiful photo’s from the run, how blessed are we to live in Plettenberg Bay and have this on our doorstep.

Although i was desperately sad to miss out i convinced my youngest, with only the tiniest bit of blackmail, an energy bar would you believe it,  to run the 5 km.  And how did he feel when he came through the finish.   He loved it, did well, got very muddy and says he would like to do another one. Yay, hopefully the running bug has bit and we have another runner in the family.

So thank you to all involved for not only another awesome trail event but also for making a way for the younger ones to get involved.  First prize for me, although i am pretty sure he would beat me, would be if next year Oli and i could be running it together (i will keep an energy bar on standby just in case).

If you missed this event be sure to pen it in your diary for next year.
